Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in criminal law. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, the ability to litigate effectively, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. As an Attorney, you will be responsible for representing clients in legal matters, conducting legal research, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court proceedings and during negotiations.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
• Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and motions.
• Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations.
• Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all legal activities.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the law office to ensure comprehensive client representation.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to criminal law.
• Prepare for trials by organizing evidence and developing case strategies.

Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in South Carolina.
• Experience in criminal law is required. Solicitors or public defenders are encouraged to apply.
• Proven ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Prior sports background is a plus!
